Description
Michel Eyquem de Montaigne ( 1533 – 1592 ), also known as Lord of Montaigne, was one of the most significant philosophers of the French Renaissance, known for popularizing the essay as a literary genre. His work is noted for its merging of casual anecdotes and autobiography with intellectual insight.
He is most famously known for his skeptical remark, "Que sçay-je?" ("What do I know?", in Middle French; now rendered as Que sais-je? in modern French).
Montaigne had a direct influence on Western writers including Francis Bacon, René Descartes, Blaise Pascal, Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, David Hume, Edward Gibbon, Virginia Woolf, Albert Hirschman, William Hazlitt, Ralph Waldo Emerson, John Henry Newman, Karl Marx, Sigmund Freud, Charles Darwin, Friedrich Nietzsche, Stefan Zweig, Eric Hoffer, Isaac Asimov, and possibly, on the later works of William Shakespeare.
Designed, sewn and hand painted, each doll is a one-of-a-kind art piece and each rendition is slightly different.

The doll can not be washed, dry cleaning is recommended.

When your order will be ready, the doll's photos will be sent to you before shipment.

All purchases will be shipped with regular postal service from Ukraine with tracking number. I'll do my best to minimize shipping estimates, but cannot guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose before shipment(FedEx, UPS, DHL for example). I'm not responsible for delays due to customs, holidays or bad weather.
