Anna Akhmatova literary action figure handmade. Gift for reader, writer present. Book shelf decoration.

Anna Akhmatova ( Anna Andreyevna Gorenko ) was one of the most significant Russian poets of the 20th century. She was shortlisted for the Nobel Prize in 1965. Akhmatova's work ranges from short lyric poems to intricately structured cycles, such as Requiem (1935–40), her tragic masterpiece about the Stalinist terror. Her work was condemned and censored by Stalinist authorities, and she is notable for choosing not to emigrate and remaining in the Soviet Union, acting as witness to the events around her. Her perennial themes include meditations on time and memory, and the difficulties of living and writing in the shadow of Stalinism.

Designed, sewn and hand painted, each doll is a one-of-a-kind art piece and each rendition is slightly different.

There are three types of the little size, 7 inch (1:12) doll available - doll with ring (as Christmas tree toy), finger puppet (create your own puppet show theater), doll on pedestal (bookshelf or desktop decor)

* The doll can not be washed, dry cleaning is recommended. 
* Not recommended for children under 3 years.

If you want to make a custom (personalized) order, please contact me using the “custom order” button below any listing, or “ask a question” button at the right upper side of the page. Please send me 3 photos and describe your wishes regarding the execution of the order. Please note that I am in Ukraine and it may take me about 24 hours to reply because of the time difference. When your order will be ready, the doll's photos will be sent to you before shipment. The doll will be ready within 3-5 days.

All purchases will be shipped with regular postal service from Ukraine with tracking number. I'll do my best to minimize shipping estimates, but cannot guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose before shipment(FedEx, UPS, DHL for example). I'm not responsible for delays due to customs, holidays or bad weather.
